The gift of photography

Before you continue to read on, do me a favour and hit the play button for a more dramatic viewing. ;)

I love photography. I just can't explain how blessed I am to be able to photograph my days. I'm so honoured to be able to just run to my camera and keep moments with me forever. I'm pretty blessed I married into a family full of photographers. God knows me so well. He made my husband exactly how I want him. I'm mind-blown by God's amazingness.

But let me tell you something, to be the mama and the photographer at the same time for my family is hard work. I take photos of my family on a daily basis - and that's great. But to be in the photos with my family is a rare thing. If you're like me, a creative mama, who just can't get enough of your cute little babes, you just tend to forget to be in the photos with them. One day, when they look back on our photos, they'd get disappointed. Because I was rarely in it with them. I'd be remembered as the camera-faced mama.

Thankfully, my family was privileged to have Abotz take a few photos of us. I would never promote something I do not completely believe in. This isn't a sponsored post, ya'll. I truly just believe that atleast once in your lifetime you should have your photos taken (professionally or by a friend). It'll be so worth it. You don't truly know the value of a photograph until time shows you the value of it.

I love this photo session because she captured us just how we really are. She caught the messy, loud and chaotic-ness of my little family. I love it!

And a few of my favourites:

I'm so terribly thankful to do life with these guys. It has been a nerve-wrecking, mind-blowing, time-consuming, crazy and chaotic and all things beautiful kinda adventure.

"We keep this love in a photograph. We make these memories for ourselves. Where our eyes are never closing, hearts are never broken, times forever frozen still." - Ed Sheeran, Photograph
