Fatigue has taken over me. I often battle between sleeping or getting some me-time while the boys nap. Sleep usually wins. Actually, sleep ALWAYS wins. I've tried fighting the urge to get some things done or get some "me" time but honestly, I'm as exhausted or even more than they are during their nap time.
You don't know tired if you're not a parent of a newborn + toddler tandem. I can't explain how crazy things get here. The house usually doesn't get clean till weekends. I can't imagine living on our own. I'd have to do all the cooking, cleaning, errands, etc. I'm not sure if I'll still be alive by the end of the day. I'm already mostly on my feet from the time they get up to the time they nap and until it's bedtime. I've become that kind of mom who can't wait for nap time and bed time. I honestly count down to it.
I can't imagine how much crazier things will get when both of them turn into toddlers. But I believe I'm supposed to enjoy this. I believe I'm supposed to embrace this craziness. I love them but it's just not that easy.
Hug Hazee! :) Things will get better. I hope and pray you'd be able to find strength and grace in this phase and season of your life. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you, couz! I know it will get better soon. :)
DeleteHi Hazel, alam kong kaya mo yan. God has blessed you with two wonderful boys and You are blessed to be their mother simply because you are an awesome mother.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every bit of it, even the back aches and the deprived sleep cause one day they're all grown and you'll miss just how they are now. Children grows up fast too. Time will come and you'll wonder where has the days gone?
You may say, "What should you know, You're not a mother yet?" .... TRUE! I may not be a mother yet but I know a good mother when I see one, and You are.
Remember to enjoy your blessings.
